Hello everybody! Today I we be discussing the Next Gen. system know far and wide as the Nintendo Wii.

Before the big announcement about the name being the Wii, it was known simply as the Revolution. That being becuase it is supposed to revolutionize the way that we play video games. The Wii, as it is officially known, is supposed to appeal to a much broader spectrum of people, yes even old people!

Mr. Miyamoto has announced that there will be an extensive array of games to appeal to all sorts of people. Now on to the controller. As you may or may not know, the Wii controller appears to the normal person as a television remote, or with its attachment, a nun-chuck. But, let me assure you that it is most definately not. The Nintendo Wii sets out a real-time data space in the vicinity in front of it, in that space the Wii controller is whatever the game has it designed to be. Such as in a golf game, the controller is a club. This opens up a wide range of things that the Wii or any other game system to date, has ever accomplished.

The actual system itsself is a slimmed down box that seems to stand vertically. Images on-line suggest many different colors, but, I would'nt hold my breath. Nintendo may but, I'm going to guess that at launch it will have two colors, black and purple. Speaking of a launch date Nintendo really has'nt set a particular time for launch, although it is expected to debut sometime late this year. In my opinion that was not the smartest move Nintendo could have made, the Playstation 3 is also supposed to come out some time later this year. And if history has taught us nothing, its that Sony always wins the console race, not speaking handhelds.

Anyway, now onto games. The Wii is supposed to have a pretty good range of games, and from what I've seen, they look pretty good. Metroid Prime 3 Corruption, Super Mario Galaxy, Super Smash Bros. Brawl , and some others like Tony Hawk. All of these games look fun, and I'm eager to play them all!

One more note, the Wii will cost tons less than the PS3, and Xbox 360, so for all you cheap bastards out there, like me, we can afford a Wii. Also thats a bad name for a console.
